1. Who we are

schoolelf.co.uk is the schools shop of christmastrees.co.uk, operated by Jason Nicklin, trading as christmastrees.co.uk, of 3 Kinloch Court, Station Road, Harpenden AL5 4UE, United Kingdom. Email elf@schoolelf.co.uk.

These terms govern your purchases from this site. By placing an order you accept them. They do not affect your statutory rights. Your card statement may show christmastrees.co.uk.

2. Products

Our trees are real, grown in British soil. Every tree is unique. Size, shape and fullness vary, and photographs are a guide, not an exact likeness.

All products depend on availability. If we cannot supply your order, we will tell you as soon as possible and either substitute a tree of equal value and quality or refund you in full within 14 days.

3. Orders and payment

Order through your school's shop page. Stripe processes the payment. We email you to confirm your order. A contract forms when we send that confirmation, not before.

Give us accurate details, including a contact email, so we can reach you if a problem comes up. The child's name you enter goes on the tree label for collection.

4. Delivery and collection

We deliver all orders to your school in one drop the day before collection day. You collect from the school on collection day. Where a school offers home delivery, we deliver on the school's delivery day and charge the fee shown at checkout.

5. Changes and cancellations

To change or cancel, email elf@schoolelf.co.uk before your school's order deadline. Fresh cut Christmas trees are perishable goods. The cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to them, so an order cannot be cancelled after the trees go to dispatch.

6. Our guarantee

We guarantee the freshness and quality of every tree. If there is a genuine issue, contact us within 48 hours of collection day and we will replace the tree or refund you. See our refund policy.

7. Fundraising

Part of the price of every tree goes to your school. We pay each school its share after the season. The school sets its own prices.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

9. General

We may update these terms. The version on the site when you order applies to that order. If any part is found invalid, the rest still stands. English law governs these terms and the English courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
