The needles stay on
A traditional tree sheds in a warm room. The Nordmann Fir does not. Its needles are soft, dark green and rounded at the tip. They grip the branch even when the tree dries out.
With a water-holding stand and a spot away from the radiator, it stays fresh for five weeks or more. Put it up in November. Take it down in January. No carpet of needles in between.
Cut to order, not from a stockpile
Good Elf has sold Nordmann Fir since 2004. We cut each tree from British growers days before your delivery. A fresh tree is heavy and the branches have give in them. You can see it in the colour.
Premium grade only. We hand-pick. If a tree does not meet the standard, it stays on the plantation. Every tree arrives netted and ready to carry.
Picking your size
Measure floor to ceiling before you order. Leave room for the star. A 6ft tree fills a standard living room without touching the ceiling. It is the most popular size for a reason. 3ft and 4ft suit a hallway or a bedroom. 8ft and up need high ceilings and a wide stand.
Care is simple. Cut half an inch off the base, stand it in water and top it up every day. A big tree drinks a litre a day. Keep it clear of radiators and log burners.
